Unfortunately, I am not an in-network insurance provider for all other insurance companies. I accept private pay and provide you with a detailed invoice at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

FAQs

  • Before booking an appointment, I suggest calling the number on the back of your insurance card inquiring about your "out of network" therapy benefits. They will tell you how to submit an out-of-network reimbursement claim.

  • I accept American Express, Discover, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, and Visa cards.

  • I begin to meet with all of my clients weekly. We monitor your goal progress frequently to help determine how often we should meet. I make a clinical recommendation based on what's known to be effective for a particular diagnosis or problem. We will discuss these details after your first appointment and throughout your journey.

  • I use an eclectic approach. In sessions, I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic theory. In my practice, I use a culturally sensitive approach. I invite you to an open space where we can discuss how factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, religion or spirituality, family dynamics, etc., affect your well-being. We will collaborate to identify and build on your strengths to help you become the best version of yourself.

  • That's an excellent question! It's a personal preference. However, there are a few factors I believe you should take into consideration, including finding someone who specializes in what you're struggling with.

I invite you to set up a time with me so we can have a consultation. This is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have to help you make this decision. You can also gauge whether you feel safe, heard, and comfortable. You should feel like you can be your authentic self in a non-judgemental space.

  • I'm sorry you didn't have a positive experience. I think it's awesome that you're trying again! That takes so much strength and bravery. It's not unheard of for people to want to switch therapists. If you're in this position, I suggest you make a list of things that you liked about your last therapist and things you didn't like about that experience. You can use this list to guide you with any questions you may want to ask during a consultation. Take some time to explore different websites and set up a few consultations. Next, make your decision.

  • Beginning January 1, 2022, psychologists and other health care providers will be required by law to give uninsured and self-pay patients a good faith estimate of costs for services that they offer, when scheduling care or when the patient requests an estimate.
